ACPA’s 80th Annual Meeting is a multidisciplinary meeting of professionals who treat individuals born with cleft and craniofacial abnormalities. The program features general multidisciplinary sessions, concurrent specialty sessions, panel presentations, and courses. Program topics include cleft lip and palate surgery, craniofacial biology and anatomy, craniofacial surgery, dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, feeding and nutrition, genetics, health service research and epidemiology, imaging, neuroscience, neurobiology, nursing, otolaryngology, speech-language pathology, audiology, pediatrics, quality of life and psychosocial issues, oral and maxillofacial surgery, velopharyngeal insufficiency, care coordination, team care, and more.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Discuss new topics and advancements in research, clinical, and team-driven care for people with cleft and craniofacial conditions.
- Summarize various clinical techniques, research findings, and improvements in team care for individuals affected with cleft and craniofacial conditions.
- Explain ideas learned from colleagues across multiple disciplines, teams, and locations to better serve their patients through team care.
Desired Learner Outcomes
At the completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Self-assess a gain in knowledge related to best practices and techniques for care of patients with cleft and/or craniofacial conditions.
- Self-assess that they will be able to apply knowledge gained to their patient management which will improve patient outcomes.

The American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association designates this live and enduring activity for a maximum of 70.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
This educational activity is offered for up to 70.25 Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) contact hours for the blended in-person and virtual activity, and 56.5 contact hours for the virtual only option. Learners will be awarded contact hours only for the sessions they attend.
In order to receive contact hours, learners must:

- Attend 80% or more of each session attended
- Complete and submit the evaluation form
For posters:
- View a minimum of 6 posters, in multiples of 6 (0.5 contact hours will be awarded for each set of 6 posters viewed)
