Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Explain the importance of orthodontics and prosthodontics working together to achieve optimal dental and facial aesthetics in patients with cleft lip, palate, and other craniofacial conditions.
- Identify the critical steps in diagnosing and planning individualized orthodontic-prosthodontic treatments for patients with cleft lip, palate, and other craniofacial conditions, specifically related to the missing lateral incisor in the cleft area.
- Describe the effectiveness of various orthodontic-prosthodontic treatment plans in improving both functional and aesthetic outcomes for patients with cleft lip, palate, and other craniofacial conditions.
Learning Outcomes:
At the completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Self-assess a gain in knowledge related to the collaborative care of orthodontics and prosthodontics in the last phase of treatment of patients with cleft lip, palate, and other craniofacial conditions.
- Self-assess that they will improve their performance in their clinical practice based on knowledge gained.
- Self-assess that they anticipate improved patient outcomes based on changes in their performance.
