myFaceNonprofit serving individuals with facial differences leads with stories, support, and community

Boston, MA | March 24–28, 2026 — myFace, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of children and adults with facial differences, proudly announces its return as a Platinum Supporter of the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association (ACPA)’s 2026 Annual Meeting, taking place March 24–28 in Boston, MA.

For 75 years, myFace has championed individuals with craniofacial conditions and their families through holistic programs, access to multidisciplinary care, educational initiatives, and lifelong support. As one of the most recognized voices in the craniofacial community, myFace’s presence at ACPA reflects a deep commitment not only to advancing integrated medical care, but also to uplifting the lived experiences of those navigating facial differences every day.

“At myFace, we don’t see a diagnosis — we see a life story,” said William S. Villafranco, Executive Director of myFace. “Behind every journey is a child with dreams, a parent seeking answers, or an adult facing the world with courage. Supporting ACPA’s Annual Meeting is part of our promise to ensure those voices are seen, heard, and honored — in every space where care and community come together.”

The ACPA Annual Meeting convenes more than 1,000 medical professionals, researchers, and advocates working to improve outcomes for individuals with cleft and craniofacial conditions. For patients and families, this gathering represents innovation, education, and connection — values myFace has long championed both inside and beyond the hospital walls.

Special Lived Experience Event
As part of this year’s conference, myFace and the ACPA will host a special evening event entitled “Lived Experience Gathering” on Thursday, March 26 at 6:30 PM at The Loft.

Designed as a welcoming space for individuals with facial differences and their families, this event will offer the opportunity to connect, build relationships, and foster community.

Why This Matters
Every hour a child is born in the United States with a craniofacial difference, which uniquely impacts both the body and spirit. Each year, the faces of another 100,000 individuals are disfigured through accident or disease. But the journey doesn’t end after surgery.

Families often face years of ongoing procedures, emotional adjustment, school transitions, and social stigma. myFace ensures that no one walks this path alone — offering support that extends beyond medical care to include confidence-building, community connection, and advocacy that creates lasting change.

Voices from the Community
Maria F., a member of the myFace community shared:

“Being part of the myFace community means so much to me: identity, acceptance, peace, joy, and tranquility. It’s a space where I can connect with myself and others; a space where I feel kind, relieved, and validated. Being part of myFace helps me discover more about myself and encourages me to love myself more and learn new things about me.”
