The Mazaheri Young Professional Scholarship is named for ACPA Member Mohammad Mazaheri, DDS, MSc.
Dr. Mazaheri, past president of ACPA (1967), is a Professor of Surgery at the Penn State University, Hershey Medical Center, a Director Emeritus of Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic, and a Consultant to eight Universities, several Insurance Companies and NIH. Over the course of his career, Dr. Mazaheri has received numerous awards for his clinical and research endeavors and has published more than one hundred articles in scientific journals, contributed chapters to five books, and has presented more than several hundred presentations before medical, surgical, and dental associations. He is the president and founder of the Happy Face Foundation, a foundation dedicated to the treatment of Iranian children with oral facial malformations. Dr. Mazaheri continues his service through the Mazaheri Young Professional Scholarship.
Dr. Mazaheri won the ACPA Distinguished Service Award in 1979 and the ACPA Honors of the Association Award in 1989.
