CPCJ’s Commitment to LMIC’s Accessibility
CPCJ has established initiatives to provide access for LMIC’s (lower and middle income countries). Currently, all journal content is free to read 12 months after publication. That means only the past year of published research in CPCJ is behind a paywall. This policy is incredibly author friendly, and most journals do not have an embargo; most journals keep all content behind a paywall. Be sure to read the latest research on the journal website and share articles that are relevant within your network!
Sage and CPCJ have a very author-friendly policy in terms of article resharing and reuse. CPCJ authors may share the Original Submission or Accepted Manuscript at any time after their paper is accepted and in any format. The sharing of the Original Submission or Accepted Manuscript may include posting a downloadable copy on any website, saving a copy in any repository or network, sharing a copy through any social media channel, and distributing print or electronic copies. Authors may use the Final Published PDF (or Original Submission or Accepted Manuscript, if preferred) in the following ways:
-
- In relation to their own teaching, provided that any electronic distribution maintains restricted access
- To share on an individual basis with research colleagues, provided that such sharing is not for commercial purposes
- In their dissertation or thesis, including where the dissertation or thesis will be posted in any electronic Institutional Repository or database
- In a book authored or edited by them, at any time after the Contribution’s publication in the journal.
- Access to the Original Submission and Accepted Manuscript is provided at no charge and any re-use terms for users of websites and repositories (where the Original Submission or Accepted Manuscript are posted) are restricted to non-commercial and no derivative uses.
CPCJ offers optional open access publishing via the Sage Choice program and Open Access agreements, where authors can publish open access either discounted or free of charge depending on the agreement with Sage. When publishing your work open access, your institution may be able to help you to cover the open access article processing charge (APC) through an Open Access agreement they have with Sage. Find out if your institution is participating by visiting Open Access Agreements at Sage. For more information on Open Access publishing options at Sage please visit Sage Open Access. For information on funding body compliance, and depositing your article in repositories, please visit Sage’s Author Archiving and Re-Use Guidelines and Publishing Policies.
