Abstract Submission for the 2025 Annual Meeting Is Now Closed.

ACPA’s Annual Meeting is the most comprehensive event for cleft and craniofacial education. Presentations range from panels and short talks to the latest scientific research and include presentations on a variety of topics. ACPA members have access to past meeting abstracts in The Cleft Palate Craniofacial Journal.

Please note that abstract submitters will be prompted to log in to their ACPA account to access the submission portal. Submitters who do not have an account with ACPA must create one. For assistance logging in to or creating an ACPA account, please email info@acpacares.org.

Please review the important updates and notes below regarding abstract submission.

  • ACPA requires that all abstracts use person-first language, e.g., instead of “cleft patient” use “patient with a cleft.”
  • Platform paper submissions will be limited to two per submitter. If you have exceeded the platform paper submission limit, please consider submitting your abstract as a short talk or poster.
  • If the abstract is accepted, the first author or submitter is required to present. Please note that this requirement applies to all presentation types. Requests for presenter changes will be considered under extenuating circumstances.
  • If your abstract is accepted as an instructional course, panel, or study session with multiple presenters, all presenters must be listed as authors on the abstract. Requests for presenter changes will be considered under extenuating circumstances.
  • If a student or trainee will be presenting a platform paper or short talk, please note that the senior author is strongly encouraged to attend the meeting and be in attendance for the presentation and questions.
  • All authors on the abstract must submit their disclosure form and biographical information by 5:00 p.m. EDT on September 30. The abstract submitter is responsible for ensuring that these materials are submitted by all authors. If the materials requested are not submitted by all authors, the abstract will not be submitted for review.
    • As part of ACPA’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, we have translated the disclosure form into French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. Please note that these documents were translated with Google Translate. If you see any errors please contact us at education@acpacares.org.
