2025 Key Objectives:
- Monitor and provide support on any current or future legislation impacting those with cleft/craniofacial conditions.
- Provide training to Grasstop advocates and utilize their connections to push key issues.
- Develop new and strengthen existing relationships with individuals and organizations with aligning interests.
- Explore the creation of a coalition with allied organizations.
- Collaborate with patient advocacy groups and organizations.
- Identify influencers to collaborate on awareness campaigns.
- Create and share advocacy-related resources.
- Develop materials for patients on self-advocacy (i.e. anti-bullying, media portrayal, health empowerment).
- Disseminate Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness Month toolkits to ACPA Approved Teams.
- Identify strategies for improving and increasing support for interdisciplinary cleft and craniofacial care.
- Address barriers to orthodontic cleft and craniofacial care.
