Key Objectives:

  1. Create, publish, and disseminate a consensus statement on SLP training and practice standards for specialty/advanced clinical practice in cleft/craniofacial team care, including suggested knowledge and clinical competencies (skills), and describe the various roles of the SLP in the team care setting;
  2. Create and disseminate options for SLP training pathways and resources for cleft/craniofacial team SLPs; and
  3. Collaborate, educate, and advocate with specialists and organizations with alliances with ACPA, for example ASHA (and CAA), ASPS, ASCFS, and others TBD, as well as offer input to other ACPA initiatives which intersect with SLP clinical practice in cleft/craniofacial team settings (e.g., Commission on Approval of Teams, ACPA Parameters of Care)
